Pond and Water Feature Maintenance in Lakeville and the Twin Cities

What We Take Care of
Fall Winterization
We clear debris, shut down the pump and winterize the autofill so nothing freezes and cracks over a Minnesota winter.
Spring Cleanouts
A startup or a full drain-and-wash cleanout to get your pond or waterfall clear and running for the season.
Seasonal Maintenance
Midseason visits to check the pump, filter and lighting, treat the water and catch small problems early.
Why Regular Care Pays Off
A proper fall shutdown is the cheapest repair you will ever avoid. A clean spring start catches worn parts, low water and clogged skimmers before your first warm weekend. A feature that's cared for every year keeps its clear water and its sound for a lot longer.

Built by us or by someone else
If we built your water feature, we already know how it's plumbed, where the pump sits and how the stone was set. If someone else built it, you're welcome too. We take a quick look first and confirm the price before we start.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I winterize my pond in Minnesota?
Before the first hard freeze, usually October into early November. We schedule fall visits by area, so booking early gets you an earlier date.

Does a pondless waterfall need to be winterized?
Yes. The pump should be shut down or removed and the autofill winterized so water in the lines doesn't freeze and crack parts.

Can my fish stay in the pond over winter?
In a pond that's deep enough, yes, but the ice needs an opening so gases can escape. We can add an aerator or de-icer during your fall visit. Fish medication and fish loss are not covered by our services.
What's the difference between a spring startup and a full cleanout?
A startup restarts the system, clears the skimmer and filter and tops off the water. A full cleanout drains the feature, pressure-washes the rock and gravel and resets it. Ponds with heavy debris or muck usually need the full cleanout.
When do spring cleanouts start?
Once the ice is off and nights stay above freezing, usually in April or May.
Do you service water features you didn't build?
Yes. We look at the feature first and confirm the price before any work starts.
What's not included?
Repairs, replacement parts and leak diagnosis are quoted separately. We always tell you what we find and give you a price before doing the work.
